All 21 achievements at a glance
Source and version
This list covers the 1.0 release's Steam achievement set, checked on 29 October 2026. Achievement names and conditions below are the English originals; Chinese UI text does not change the unlock check.
Story and endings (5)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| First Steps | Complete the tutorial |
| Authorized | Own the business permit |
| Keys to the Kingdom | Own the store, by buying the deed or paying off the mortgage |
| Prodigious | Own the store deed before day 50 |
| Clean Hands | Win the game without selling a stolen or contraband item |
The first three are guaranteed story beats: tutorial, permit, ownership. Keys to the Kingdom and Prodigious both require owning the store — by buying the deed or paying off the mortgage — but Prodigious adds the day-50 deadline.Official
Starting scenarios and difficulty (3)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| We Have Rats! | Play the Rat Wrangler advanced start |
| From Nothing | Win the game starting from Rock Bottom |
| From Nothing, the Hard Way | Win from Rock Bottom on Thin Margins or Red Ink |
These three are mutually exclusive
Rat Wrangler is its own hidden scenario, and Rock Bottom is a separate starting identity, so they cannot be picked together. Hard mode is locked in at the start of a run. Plan on separate saves rather than trying to stack them.
Wealth, reputation and the shop (4)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| Comfortably Afloat | Start a day with more than 10,000 credits in estimated total wealth |
| Swimming in Credits | Start a day with more than 100,000 credits in estimated total wealth |
| Diplomatic | Reach maximum reputation with any faction |
| Shiny | Start a day with 1,000 store attractiveness |
Wealth is checked at the start-of-day settlement, not the moment you earn it. Earning 10,000 and spending it before sleeping will not count — leave the money on the books overnight.
Perks such as the 15% discount unlock at 100 reputation, but the reputation track and the Diplomatic achievement cap at 200. The Lower Levels are the easiest faction to max — see the faction reputation guide.Player-testedProduction and upgrades (4)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| Industrious | Own 10 machines simultaneously at the start of a day |
| Cranked to Eleven | Reach +250% quality bonus on any single machine |
| Green Thumb | Produce a Huge Nutrifruit from the Hydroponic |
| Say My Name | Produce a Lab Pure grade narcotic item in the Chem Finisher |
Cranked to Eleven counts one machine's quality modules, not total shop quality: stack every quality slot — advanced neural core modules, advanced turbochargers and the like — into the same unit until it reads +250%. Industrious only counts machines present at the start of the day, so buy the tenth and sleep on it.
Trading, appraisal and security (4)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| Lower Levels Special | Change the label of any item using the labeler |
| An Eye for Value | Get 10 perfect appraisals |
| Snitches Get Riches | Report 10 criminals using the counter alarm |
| Aug Hunter | Shoot 10 augmented |
The labeler becomes a hotbar tool once you buy the Toolbox after day 14, so Lower Levels Special is a one-click job. Perfect appraisals require your quote to land inside the appraisal window; undersell rather than crossing the top of the range.
Luck (1)
| Achievement | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| Jackpot | Win at least 350 credits on a single scratcher ticket |
No published pity timer — it is pure probability. Buy tickets in batches once your cash flow is stable.

The six achievements players miss most
Clean Hands: never touch stolen or contraband goods
This is the only achievement that constrains your business model. Keep the stock legal:
- Refuse anything of dubious origin rather than "just selling it once".
- Do not take wanted-criminal deals, and do not sell contraband to Lower Levels residents chasing Snitches Get Riches.
- Sell self-produced water, wine and metal ingots through legal channels — no fake labels, no forged origins.
It conflicts with the money route
Water trading and winemaking are legal, but relabelling water or passing off fake cigarettes breaks Clean Hands. Run it as its own save rather than mixing it with the arbitrage route.
Prodigious: own the deed before day 50
The check is the date you own the store, not your peak wealth. The deed starts around 12,000 on Mark Up, 24,000 on Thin Margins and 36,000 on Red Ink, and rises daily; the mortgage spreads the one-off cost. Bank cash with early water trading, convert it into display-case sales in the mid game, and pay in full or finish the mortgage just before day 40. The number-by-number route is in the money-making guide.

From Nothing / From Nothing, the Hard Way
Both require the Rock Bottom start. A Mark Up (normal) clear earns From Nothing; a clear on Thin Margins or Red Ink earns From Nothing, the Hard Way — and also satisfies From Nothing, so one hard run covers both.
Cash is extremely tight on the harder modes: Thin Margins has zero retail markup, +10% rent per increase, a 2,000 vendor permit, and upgrades and Dr. Jackson's stock cost 50% more; Red Ink pushes prices higher still. Protect rent first, then expand.Player-tested
Aug Hunter: confirm, then shoot
Killing a real customer is punished heavily, so never fire on the strength of one odd line. Buy the Aug Scanner from Dr. Jackson in the mid game and confirm before shooting. The full observation list is in how to identify an Aug.
Snitches Get Riches: report 10 criminals
Check the wanted list and report matching customers with the counter alarm. Note that reporting to Security lowers Lower Levels reputation, and false reports are finedPlayer-tested — if you are pushing a faction for Diplomatic, earn that first.
Jackpot: buy scratchers in bulk
There is no reliable trick: win at least 350 credits on a single ticket. Once you can afford it, buy ten at a time and scratch them all. Ticket spending does not count toward total wealth, so do not empty the till on the day you are chasing Swimming in Credits.
A route that clears most of the list
On ordering
The split above is organised around mutually exclusive conditions, not a strict schedule. Three hard constraints matter: Rat Wrangler and Rock Bottom cannot share a run, hard mode is locked at the start, and Clean Hands cannot coexist with contraband trading. Everything else can be picked up along the way.
FAQ
An achievement did not pop — what now?
Check the check timing first: wealth settles overnight, machine count is read at the start of the day, and reputation must hit 100. Steam achievements occasionally lag; returning to the main menu and reloading usually triggers the missing one.
Can I keep playing after buying the shop?
Buying the deed triggers the ending settlement. Save manually before the purchase, or keep one pre-purchase save specifically for cleanup.
Do achievements depend on difficulty?
Only From Nothing, the Hard Way requires hard mode. The other 20 have no difficulty requirement.

FAQ
How many achievements does Probably Stolen have?
21 Steam achievements in the 1.0 release, covering the story, endings, starting scenarios, wealth, production, security and one luck-based extra.
Can I get every achievement in one run?
No. We Have Rats! needs the Rat Wrangler advanced start, From Nothing needs a Rock Bottom start, and the two cannot be combined. Clean Hands also needs its own legal-only run.
How do I unlock Prodigious?
Own the store deed before day 50. The deed starts around 12,000 on Mark Up, 24,000 on Thin Margins and 36,000 on Red Ink, and rises daily.
How do I unlock Clean Hands?
Finish the game without selling a single stolen or contraband item. Refuse or report anything of dubious origin and stock only legal goods.
How much reputation does Diplomatic need?
200 with any one faction. Note that perks such as the 15% discount unlock at 100, but the reputation track and the achievement cap at 200.
What is the fastest way to earn Aug Hunter?
Kill 10 Augs in total. Buy the Aug Scanner from Dr. Jackson later on and confirm before you shoot, so you never kill a real customer by mistake.
Is Jackpot skill-based?
No. Win at least 350 credits on a single scratcher ticket — it is pure luck, and buying more tickets only buys more attempts.
